We are constantly expanding our market position with a future-oriented international business strategy. Therefore, we are looking for a dedicated and motivated person to strengthen our Engineering team in Dubai, UAE  Site- Acino Pharmaceuticals FZ LLC

Head of Engineering and EHS 

In this role, you are reporting directly to our Site Head. Your main mission is to ensure, coordinate and organize all engineering activities at Site

Main Tasks:

• Lead and Coach direct reports and enable them to fulfil their tasks within their Teams and functional responsibilities.
• Disciplinary and functional management of the whole Engineering Team including budget responsibility and year end processes.
• Responsible for bulk and packaging equipment investments as well as infrastructure facilities including feasibility studies, qualification activities and concept studies.
• Develop and put into action a Site Master Plan.
• Overall responsibility for OPEX & CAPEX projects including budget and timelines.
• Experience in planning and executing a Site Consolidation.
• EHS compliance and Support.
• Develop, update, and implement EHS policies, SOPs, and guidelines for critical processes.
• Set annual EHS objectives aligned with global goals and monitor their achievement.
• Train employees on EHS standards and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
• Conduct internal audits and review processes related to safety, health, and environmental protection.

Who You Are

• Master degree in relevant field such as Pharmaceutical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or relevant other qualification gained in a previous role
• At least 8 -10  years of experience, ideally in a pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environment in Engineering and EHS
• Strong Leadership skills
• Ability to work autonomously and to lead within a matrix organization
• Proven and strong negotiation, communication, project management and influencing skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a challenging, demanding and fast changing environment
• Any certifications such as CSP, CIH, ISO or NEBOSH preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of UAE environmental, health, and safety legislation.
