Counterfeiting is a huge risk to our business and to patients. When the Saudi Arabian authorities imposed a requirement to be able to guarantee their authenticity, our team in Aesch jumped to action to deliver serialized products to one of our biggest markets. Working with a mix of technologies they created an innovative IT set up and the processes that will support it to print a 2D matrix code on each pack that can be easily scanned by patients or Healthcare Providers alike to check its authenticity.

Thanks to thinking ahead, working well with a variety of teams and dedication through challenges the team is now supporting Saudi Arabia and is prepared for more regulations. Most importantly, they are beating the counterfeiters and keeping patients safe!

Today, we are rolling out our serialization project within the entire Acino group and will be ready to globally supply serialized and tamper proofed products to our customers by Q3 2018.
