Ensuring the wellbeing of our colleagues and a continued supply of critical medicines
Saturday 21st March 2020
We are currently all facing a time that we have never experienced before as individuals or as businesses; and are creating and adapting to new ways of living and working. We are seeing an incredible resolve in our teams, in the people and in communities around us that we have never witnessed before. All of us have a part to play as we face COVID-19.
At Acino, our goal is to ensure the wellbeing of our colleagues and the continued supply of critical medicines to patients around the world. We are mindful of this important role in supporting patients’ medical needs in the countries where we operate. They, and the healthcare professionals and systems that take care of them are counting on us and we continue to support them.
We are monitoring the situation very closely as it evolves and are following the guidance provided by the local authorities in all the emerging markets where we operate. We have already implemented stringent measures to protect our production sites and our colleagues who need to come to work to carry out business-critical tasks to ensure supply-chain continuity. This includes the segregation of teams, remote working, additional cleaning and other measures to keep our colleagues safe. We have immense pride for the way in which everyone in Acino has responded to the challenges we face, in a bid to do our best.
We are working closely with customers, suppliers and partners to navigate this new and challenging environment to ensure that we can continue to provide business critical services. Equally, our commercial teams are actively working with local governments and health authorities to support them with their needs.
Now is the time for us to stand together and support each other to ensure that both patients and healthcare professionals continue to have access to much-needed medicines.
Please don’t hesitate to contact Acino if you have any question, as we continue to tackle this together.
